John Tilson (cricketer)

John Tilson (March 27, 1845 — November 4, 1895) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm round-arm medium pace bowler. He represented Derbyshire in three first-class matches between 1871 and 1876. The first of these matches was to set a record, which stood for eighty-seven years, of the lowest total scored against Derbyshire in first-class cricket.
Tilson was born and died in Ilkeston at the age of fifty.
