John R. Harvey

Dr. John R. Harvey graduated from the University of Houston's Creative Writing Program in 1997. One of the founding members of Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company, Dr. Harvey has produced several plays with the company and currently serves as the company's President.[1]

Dr. Harvey is a professor for the Honors College, and teaches in the year-long Human Situation sequence. He also conducts creative writing workshops for the Honors College. [5]

Dr. Harvey is also a professor at the Northeast campus of Houston Community College.

[edit] Mildred's Umbrella

Dr. Harvey is one of the two founding members of the Houston based Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company[6]. Dr. Harvey wrote the company's first four productions, and directed their production of ROT
Dr. Harvey is also the President of the company, and serves as a part time actor (debuting in 2003).
