John R. Evans is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He has represented the 5th District since 2001. Evans' district parts of Erie County including Edinboro and Washington Township, as well as southern Crawford County.
Evans is a graduate of Linesville High School. He holds a degree in communications form Edinboro University. After college, he briefly worked for Erie Insurance. Then, after a successful internship, he went on to become the sportscaster at WJET-TV in Erie.
