John Prichard (1817-1886) was a Welsh architect of the neo-Gothic style.[1] John Prichard was the son of Richard Prichard a rector from Llangan, Glamorgan and was born on the 6th May 1817.[2] He established a practice in Llandaff, Cardiff where he became the diocesan architect. Between 1852 and 1863 he set up a partnership with John Pollard Seddon. Many of his major commisions were restoration works, most famously for Llandaff Cathredral (1843-69), and after Prichard's death on the 13th October 1886 he was buried on the south side of the cathedral.[3]
