John P. Donoghue (born 1957) is an American politician from Maryland and a member of the Democratic Party. He is currently serving in his 5th term in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Maryland's District 2C in Washington County. Donoghue is a member of the Health and Government Operations Committee.
Donoghue was born in New York City on May 24, 1957. He graduated from Catholic University with a degree in Political Science before becoming a financial advisor with Legg Mason.

- voted against the Clean Indoor Air Act of 2007 (HB359) citing a previous law requiring restaurants to meet statewide standards to eliminate smoke with adequate ventilation and providing separate areas for smoking and non-smoking patrons [1]
- voted in favor of increasing the sales tax whilst simultaneously reducing income tax rates for some income brackets - Tax Reform Act of 2007(HB2)[2]
- honored by the Maryland MEDBANK Program for his dedication to health care legislation
