John Marshall High School is located on 180 Ridgeway Ave in Rochester, New York located near Kodak.
The school was opened in the late 1930's and the school population was made up of a white population. The school's population is now mostly African American. It is home to a law academy and video classes. It has the "Jurist" room which is its own business of foods. The school also has 2 gyms (a large and small one), 1 large auditorium, 4 floors, a football field, two diamonds used for baseball and softball, a track and a swimming pool. It also has its own health clinic within the school that students and teachers can use. It has after programs such as Band, the Mock trail team, FIRST robotics team: MAK (Marshall and Kodak), chess, masterminds, J.R.O.T.C. (which is also a class along with the law) and sport teams. The major programs are football, track and field, wrestling, baseball, and softball. John Marshall is often talk about amongst the city of Rochester as one of the best schools in the city. This is proven correct because the test scores are the 2nd highest in the district.
