John Ingoldsby

John Gordon 'Johnny' Ingoldsby (June 21, 1924 - August 10, 1982) was a professional ice hockey player. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Ingoldsby (aka 'Ding' and 'Jack') played the position of right wing for teams in the NHL, AHL, OHA-B, TIHL, TNDHL, OHA-SR, IHL, EHL, Al-Cup, and the EAL hockey leagues.
Ingoldsby was 188 cm (6'2") tall and weighed 95 kg (210 lbs).
He played for the following teams:
- Toronto De La Salle from 1941 to 1942
- Toronto National Steel Car from 1941 to 1942
- Toronto Maple Leafs from 1943 to 1944
- Toronto CIL from 1943 to 1944
- Toronto Army Daggers from 1943 to 1944
- Toronto Staffords from 1945 to 1946
- Toronto Maher Jewels from 1945 to 1946
- Owen Sound Mercurys from 1947 to 1951
- New Haven Nutmegs from 1952 to 1953
- Marion Barons from 1953 to 1954
- Grand Rapids Rockets from 1954 to 1956
- Huntington Hornets from 1956 to 1957
- New Haven Blades from 1957 to 1959
- New Haven/Charlotte from 1959 to 1960
In 1951, Ingoldsby won the Allan Cup with the Owen Sound Mercurys. Ingoldsby retired from playing hockey in 1960 and died in Oakville, Ontario on August 10, 1982 at the age of 58.
