John Du Prez (born December 14, 1946 in Sheffield) is a musician who has often worked with Eric Idle for the music for Monty Python, most notably the score for Monty Python's The Meaning of Life and A Fish Called Wanda. He also co-wrote the music for the stage musical Spamalot. He was once, when he was known as Trevor Jones, the trumpet player in New Romantic band Modern Romance, who had a hit with "Everybody Salsa" in the early 1980s. Trevor Jones is credited with writing a Greek dance music piece in the movie Time Bandits, but the same song can also be heard on a Philip Pickett CD "The Alchemist", where the song is called "Bacchanalia" and is attributed to John Du Prez. He also did the music and the intro theme of the British series Captain Star.

John Du Prez also composed music for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, composing either solo or with David Frank, under the name "Orchestra On The Half Shell.", and also contributed to the film Once Bitten. He has recently contributed to the soundtrack of the animated film The Wild.
