John Dickson is a popular Australian Christian writer, Honorary Associate Minister of St Andrew's Anglican Church, Roseville, and an Honorary Associate of the Department of Ancient History at Macquarie University. His books focus on the relevance of Jesus in the contemporary world, and he won Australian Christian Book of the Year in 2000 and 2005.
Before starting his writing career in 1993, John was a singer/songwriter with the band In the Silence, with whom he continues to perform occasionally. He also hosted the music TV show, Swordfish on Network Ten for two years.
His theological training consists of a degree in theology from Moore Theological College in Sydney and a PhD in Ancient History from Macquarie University.
He currently lives in Sydney with his wife and children.
His documentary, The Christ Files, was shown on Network Seven on Easter 2008.
