John Butler, 1st Earl of Gowran

John Butler, 1st Earl of Gowran (b. after 1639-d. before 1686) was a British peer. The son of James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde and his wife, Elizabeth, was created 1st (and last) Earl of Gowran. He never married and the title died with him.
Lord Butler was created Baron Aghrim, Viscount Clonmore and Earl of Gowran, all in the Peerage of Ireland, on 13 Apr 1676.
