Johann Rudolf Pfyffer von Altishofen

Johann Rudolf Pfyffer von Altishofen, born in 1615? and died the 17th of May 1657 was the Commander of the Swiss Guard from 1652-1657 protecting the Popes Innocent X and Alexander VII at the Vatican.
He was the suspected illegitimate son of Pope Innocent X and died supposedly of dysentery; his death is considered to be suspect
