[edit] Gay claim

The article claimed Wachs is "openly gay." I live in his district and never heard that claim. Without substantiation, I believe it should be removed. I also don't believe Wachs was in office as early as 1971; I have left that latter date pending further verification. 209.179.168.55 15:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
