[edit] Move this page?
There is an Irish professional snooker player also called Joe Delaney. Any objections to moving this content to Joe Alton Delaney or Joe Delaney (American Football player), making this a disambiguation page and creating a Joe Delaney (snooker player) page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Onefiveseven (talk • contribs) 16:34, 21 April 2007 (UTC).

Never heard of this man before, but the article was an interesting to read. I, however, agree that this article does need some improvements. A picture of some sort would also add a lot to it. Not really sure that this statement fits in the article: "Delaney had a lifelong history of helping others". After that statement only one event is mentioned, the time he tried rescuing the three children. It was a brave act by Delaney none-the-less. Could use more references.

- I've tried to look for as many resources/references as possible, but sadly this is really all I could come up with. Almost all of them focus on his death, which is terrible, but mainly that is his legacy. He had a very short and promising career, but he set an example for all other athletes. I also looked for a reference with his widow's maiden name, but couldn't find it. I know a picture is missing, but I've been trying to work on that for a while now. Everytime I load a picture up to WP it gets deleted by a bot. conman33 (. . .talk) 03:15, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
