Paltalk, president and COO Joel Smernoff (b. July 1965 in Washington, DC) has helped to build a video-based, socialcasting community. Previously, Joel helped run AOL's first brand extension, AOL for Small Business, and has held executive positions at Netscape, several other tech startups and Fortune 500 companies.
Joel is also one of the co-founders of the New York Founders[1] club, a bi-monthly meeting of executives in digital media and has been ranked among the most influential people in New York digital business for 2007 by Silicon Alley Insider [2]
Joel graduated from the University of Michigan with both a BSE in Naval Architecture and an MBA in Finance. Joel is a member of the NYC chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization and sits on the boards of Ugen Media and Balance Integration.
