Joe Curl

Joe Curl is the head women's basketball coach at Houston. He is currently in his tenth season at the helm, and has compiled a 142-126 record through his first nine. The record includes a 129-82(.611) record over the past 6 seasons. From 2001 to 2002, the Cougars have made back-to-back WNIT appearances, and from 2004-2005, back-to-back WNCAA appearances.

In the 2003-2004 campaign, the Cougars went 28-4, establishing school records for wins and winning percentage. The Cougars won both the Conference USA regular season and tournament titles. That qualified them for a number 3 seed in the tournament. For his success, he achieved national coach of the year honors by several media outlets.

As a head coach, he has a career 280-226 (.553) record. He coached at Blinn College from 1994-1996, and later from 1993-1994 at Stephen F. Austin University.
