James "Jock" Drummond was a Scottish footballer who played for Falkirk, Rangers and the Scotland national team.
Drummond joined Rangers in 1892 from Falkirk. He went on to win 5 Scottish Cup medals (1894, 1897, 1898, 1899 and 1903) and four consecutive league titles (1898-99, 1899-1900, 1900-01 and 1901-02) - the first of which Rangers won all 18 of their Scottish league matches.[1]
Drummond was also capped 14 times by Scotland between 1892 and 1903. He also captained his country on 4 occasions. He finished his playing career with first club Falkirk, latterly becoming their coach then, eventually, a director.[2] He is notable for being the last outfield player in Scottish football to wear a cap while playing.[2]
