Johann was born in San Juan de dios, manila, the daughter of Gemma Daroya and Manuel Ilejay. She has a older brother, John Emmanuel Ilejay who like’s playing basketball and being a conduct awardee in school. She was named Johann because her parents believed that she would accomplish great things. Johann gained her nickname”Hannah” because she kept being nice.

Starting at the age of 9, Johann starts singing all the songs she know.
