Joan McCusker (b. June 8, 1965 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan as Joan Elizabeth Inglis), grew up in Saltcoats is a Canadian curler who played second on the team of Sandra Schmirler at the provincial, national and international level. As part of the Schmirler rink, McCusker won a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Her sisters Cathy Trowel and Nancy Inglis have played at provincial and national levels also. Her husband Brian played in several Canadian men's championships with Randy Woytowich and was on a mixed championship team. McCusker is part of CBC's curling coverage team that includes Don Wittman (died Jan 2008) and Mike Harris. McCusker was an elementary school teacher until 1998, when she quit to focus on her curling and broadcasting career.
