[edit] Speedy deletion contested

A quick google test[1] seems to indicate that person is a little notable, listed on Amazon [2][3], not a best selling author, but ... Equendil Talk 01:23, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Alright, I had a look at her website, her bibliography which I added here, looks good enough to me, so that's a keep as far as I'm concerned. Wouldn't want genuine authors to have their wikipedia entry deleted, more than enough frauds out there. Equendil Talk 01:49, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Wikified the entry, looks like a proper stub now. I'm setting it free. Equendil Talk 02:03, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Native of Where?

The first sentence says "...born October 7, 1955 in Miami, Florida) is an Alabama native...". This says that she was born in both Florida and Alabama. Mal7798 (talk) 09:15, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright

I shamefully copy/pasted a small and neutral paragraph from the author's site, which was promptly removed for copyright reasons. Seeing as I'm stubborn and didn't see the need for altering the wording, I e-mailed the author instead, requesting permissions to include content on wikipedia, which was kindly answered and reproduced below :

> I welcome your expansion of my entry. I just checked what had already been done and see that there
> is one error that needs to be corrected.
> The statement below:
> "She also serves on the Alabama State Board for Cerebral Palsy, standing up for states citizens
> who have suffered under the same affliction which ailed her eldest son."
>
> Should be revised to read more along the lines of:
> "She also serves as a representative of Hoover, AL on the board of the Mental Retardation/
> Developmental Disabilities Health Care Authority of Jefferson Co.,Inc., standing up for Alabama
> citizens who live under afflictions similar to Cerebral Palsy, which ailed her eldest son."
