[edit] TV-show "Premiere"
Over more than 30 years (the sixties, seventies and eighties) Jo Röpke was popular, especially in the Flemish part of Belgium and The Netherlands, as the tv host of the filmmagazine 'Premiere' at the Belgian state television BRT, the former VRT (the publicly-funded broadcaster of Flanders at the northern part of Belgium).
With Jo Röpke the TV show Premiere became more than an ordinairy promo-program sponsored by film distributors, as Röpke used a dry but charming presentation style with critical, and sometimes funny and slightly ironical side remarks.
