Joël Bucher is a french banker who was involved in the Frigates Lafayette deal with Taiwan, refusing to clean the commissions paid to politicians through Société Générale and Clearstream. He is now making barter deals between Europe and Asia through Dubai with EuroPasia.
In the UAE he launched EmirNautic with Hervé Jaubert, previous Navy Officer now partner for boats construction with Dubai World for marinas stars design and catamarans construction.
With the help of Yves Parlier, the famous navigator, he will start the EmirCup in Abu Dhabi and will make the World Speed Sailing Record Attempt in 2007-2008 near Abu Dhabi.
