Born as Holger Burghardt on May 23, 1973 in Berlin-Mitte (a borough of East Berlin), Germany, then German Democratic Republic.

Former student of philosophy, psychology and English language both at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz and University of Burgundy, Dijon, now studying to hold a license in Mediation of Information and Documents using Digital Technology ([1]) at the IUT Illkirch, part of the Robert Schuman University, Strasbourg III.

After having spend several years each in Moscow (Russia, former Soviet Union), as well in Wiesbaden (Hessen) and Dijon (Burgundy), he now resides in Strasbourg (Alsace).

User name: Beaubourg for the Vangelis album (1978) and JM for "Jean" and "Michel" (no, not because of Jean Michel Jarre, but French for "Hanns" and "Michael" - the first names of my grandfather and father, respectively, thus "Jean Michel" and not "Jean-Michel"), at one time considered as a possible stage name, instead now primarily used as user name in internet communities (see Discogs as an example).
