[edit] The radio section isnt vandalism

It's an accurate description of what happened. Should be sourced however.

Why do you think he is repugnant? Based on what? That he was in Spiderman?

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, opinions on whether people are repugnant or not have no place in an encyclopedia or even a discussion about an article sir. Seems like a cheap shot to me...for what reason? Eatabullet 19:22, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] section:radio

the entire radio section sounds like vandalism. i don't know enough about the bloke to fix it (and i think he's repugnant), but i suppose somone else should. 58.166.243.40 05:31, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Although it's safe to assume the edits are done in jest, Wikipedia is a serious effort and not an extension to one's messageboard or comedy routine.

[edit] AIDS?

Should the reference to AIDS be removed?

Yes it should be full blown aids.

He doesn't really have AIDS, you know. He makes up most of his stuff on the spur of the moment, similar to how he invented Frank the Frowner.

[edit] Facts about Jim Norton

There were a couple of Jim Norton facts that I have added to the site. I had to clean up a few of them (the support of GWB's policies being one of them), but these items are accurate to the best of my knowledge and are not an extension of his comedy routine. He really loves Ozzy and he dislikes Gene Simmons. He also did have a high score in Asteroids. He has mentioned this numerous times on the radio show.

I heard he's got no problem with Gene. In fact, Both times I heard Gene on O & A, Norton had no problem with Gene. 63.66.9.3 15:28, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jim's politics

Can I ask why this is notable enough to be mentioned in his article, let alone have its own section? He's not a political commentator, he doesn't do political jokes, and he's not very politically active. On top of their irrelevance, his views are pretty difficult to pin down. Does anyone object to me removing this section?

[edit] How many times on Leno?

The entry sentence says three times, but later in the article it says 4.

[edit] Norton's "Friends"

Artie Lange is listed as one of the comics Norton is friends with, but I've never heard them mention that on the show. I remember them trashing Artie's last movie, plus the fact that Artie is 3rd mic on the Stern show. Anyone? 75.35.245.12 03:04, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I guess you haven't been listening long because whenever Artie has been mentioned in the past Jimmy mentioned that he's his buddy. When Artie's movie was trashed by Opie & Anthony Jimmy didn't say a word during the conversation. Back on WNEW he would mention stories about living with Florentine & Artie's drinking were usually brought up in the conversations.--68.192.22.48 04:35, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:JimNorton.jpg

Image:JimNorton.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
