Jimmy Wayne Trotter is an award winning portrait and landscape painter and art educator from Guntersville, Alabama, and has been interviewed and published in The Advertiser Gleam newspaper and The Gadsden Times among other publications. He received his BA from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama and his MA from A & M University, also in Huntsville, Alabama. He taught art classes at area primary and secondary institutions.
