James Robert "Jimmy" Farris (born April 13, 1978 in Lewiston, Idaho) is an American football wide receiver with the Washington Redskins. He was an All-American WR at the University of Montana before being signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and signed with Patriots near the end of the 2001 season and earned a Super Bowl ring in the Patriots victory in SB XXXVI. He signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 and became a valuable special teams player and backup wide receiver over the next three seasons. In 2005 he signed with the Washington Redskins and spent the 2005 season and 2006 preseason with the Redskins before being released and spending 2006 out of football. In the 2007 off-season he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars but was released in training camp and later re-signed with Redskins.

Farris attended Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Idaho and was a letterman in football, basketball, and track. In football, Farris helped in leading his team to the Idaho High School Football State Championship as a sophomore, and as a senior, to the State Football Championship Game and finished his senior season with 78 receptions for 1510 yards and 18 touchdowns. In basketball, he was named the team's Most Valuable Player as a senior.
Farris also ran the 100m for the U of M track team and had a personal best to 10.55
