Jim Taylor (born 1962 in Bellevue, Washington) is a Academy Award-winning screenwriter best known as the writing partner of Alexander Payne. Together they have written:
- Citizen Ruth (1996)
- Election (1999)
- About Schmidt (2002)
- Sideways (2004)
- I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007)
Taylor is also one of the writers who worked on Jurassic Park III (2001). In 2006 he was linked to Tupperware!, a feature film about the early days of the Tupperware company, but will now not be writing the script.
He is a graduate of Bellevue High School (Bellevue, WA) and Pomona College in Claremont, CA.
