Jim Nesbitt

Jim Nesbitt (December 1, 1931 – November 29, 2007)[1] was a country music singer. He had his first hit with "Please Mr. Kennedy" in 1961. It was released on Dot Records and became a number one hit on the Billboard charts.[2] His next hit, "New Frontier" reached #11 on Billboard. It was recorded on Rush Records in 1962. He had another hit in 1964 on the Chart label with "Lookin' For More In '64" It reached #11 on the Billboard charts.[2] He also recorded "A Tiger In My Tank". It stayed on the Cash Box charts for 13 weeks. He had several other hits on the Chart label. He released his last album, Phone Call From The Devil, in 1975 on Scorpion Records. [2]

Other then Jim Nesbitts music career, his life at home brought him most of his happiness. In 1963 he and his wife at the time ,Lenore, had there first kid, Kim. A few years later their son Timothy was born and two years after that they had another kid, Jayne. Soon after that Jim and lenore got divorced. Over 20 years later Jims kids all got married and had kids. He has two grandsons ,Andrew and Connor and four grandaughters, Ashleigh,Kate,Molly, and Hope. Jim finally met someone new and re-marries to his current wife Jane. They adopted a dog named hank and took him in as part of the family. Hank is a VERY fat and funky looking dog. Jim loved to fish so they bought a house in myrtle beach and went down pretty much every weekend. The sun caused major damage to him and caused various heartattacks and health problems. Eventually it caught up to him and put it in his death bed. Jim nesbitt died on thursday november 29 2007. Ever since i was a little kid, my grandpa, jim nesbitt, promised he would take me fishing. Well he didnt do so until june 2007. I knew his time to go was coming when we got the phone call a month later saying he had another heartattack. Jim nesbitt was the king of country comedy, and a great artist, but thats all most people know about him. So im hoping this will help!!
