Jim Montgomery (radio host)

Jim Montgomery (born September 15, 1959 Memphis, Tennessee, USA) is host of a popular computer radio program on News Radio 600 WREC in Memphis, Tennessee since 1996. He is the first cousin of film score composers Thomas Newman and David Newman (composer). His paternal grandmother was Louise Moss Montgomery, who was named poet laureate of the state of Mississippi in 1973 by Governor Bill Waller and served until her death in 1978.
From 1997 to 2000, he was a regular weekly computer guest on "Good Morning Memphis" on WHBQ-TV, and for three years he wrote a weekly computer column for The Memphis Business Journal called, "The Computer Connection." He has been an "expert witness" on computers in a judicial trial and has been asked to be the keynote speaker for many various organizations expounding on the history, evolution, and future of computers, computer hardware, and software.
