Jim Fitzpatrick (b. August 28, 1959) is an American film and stage actor from Omaha, Nebraska.

Fitzpatrick played professional football, from 1981 to 1985. He has had roles in over 30 plays for the stage and starred and guest-starred in over 50 roles in films and television.
He has written 32 screenplays in all. He has also Produced and Directed over two dozen films and theatrical plays, in Los Angeles, New York and St. Petersburg, Florida.
He propelled Cameron Diaz's career by teaching her to act, and introducing her to his commercial agents and theatrical agents.
Most people know entertainer Jim Ftzpatrick as an actor/writer/director. Only his close friends know that Fitzpatrick had a burning desire to be a singer. After being introduced to Lou Rawls at the "Pump Room" Jazz Club in Chicago's Ambassador East Hotel, Jim was bound and determined to reach for the singing brass ring. However along the way, his acting career blossomed and James became an action star, by utilizing his acting talents and athletic ability to Star in the action packed thrillers "U.S.SEALs", "Delta Force, Clear Target" & "The Code Conspiracy", in which he Starred along side his friend Lou Rawls.
Fitzpatrick and Charlton Heston became friends while playing tennis against each other in the early 90's. For several years afterwards Fitzpatrick and Heston would get together for breakfast a couple times a week at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City, to discuss the entertainment industry. Charlton was somewhat of a mentor to James. Heston passed away recently.
Jim currently is in preproduction with two feature films, "A Fonder Heart," starring Burt Reynolds, Shelly Long, Charles Durning and Anne Archer, as well as, the sequel to a children's film he shot in 2007 with a dozen Professional Athletes titled, "Scouts Honor," which will be released this summer, of 2008. The sequel, "Scouts Honor 2, Lightning Strikes Twice," has almost four dozen Professional Athletes doing battle with the 'Adventure Scouts,' at the St. Petersburg Times Forum in Tampa.
