Jim Brakefield (died 2002[1]) was the fifteenth head football coach for the Appalachian State Mountaineers located in the town of Boone in Watauga County, North Carolina from 197179. Brakefield also coached the Wofford Terriers located in Spartanburg, South Carolina from 196770.
