[edit] Career
Carrington's first job was in a pet shop, but at nineteen she became a temp receptionist at K-Tel Records. Within ten years she was marketing manager of EMI, and soon after was asked to run Parlophone. She was then appointed marketing director of Polydor Records, before becoming the Pet Shop Boys' second manager from 1989 to 1998. The albums "Behaviour", "Discography", "Very", "Alternative" and "Bilingual" were released by Pet Shop Boys while she managed them. Interestingly, her successor as Pet Shop Boys' manager was another woman who had worked at EMI, Mitch Clark.
