Jhajha is a city and a notified area in Jamui district in the Indian state of Bihar.

As of 2001 India census[1], Jhajha had a population of 36,424. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Jhajha has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 53%. In Jhajha, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
