From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, Jguy101, to Wikipedia! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Wikipedia, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.

If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:

I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing!  --King of All the Franks 07:31, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userboxes

I was about to make a perfectly constructive edit to your userboxes (fix up the layout), remove userboxes that have already been deleted, etc when I saw that rather scathing message of "Trespassers who edit this page without authorisation will be continually ridiculed and/or yelled at by all means possible."

First off, I arrive at your userpage to do some routine edits (changing the location of a userbox - and being perfectly willing to do other things once I see the page needs some editing) and that message leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's very non-Wikipedian. It is against Wikipedia policy to personally attack anyone. I hope you reconsider that message. Happy editing. — Nathan (talk) / 02:29, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

I was mainly referring to vandalism; for example, that "This user is a n00b" userbox. If it's editing for the sake of making things more inline with Wikipedia policy, I have no problem with it.

[edit] Blanchet Catholic School

Hi, I was wondering if you could add some content to the Blanchet article. Another editor made it redirect back to Salem, Oregon because of "no content", so I filled it out a little. Pleae see Dpbsmith's "BEEFSTEW" criteria for the notability of high school articles for ideas on expansion. Thanks and happy editing! Katr67 16:36, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
