Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Illinois race car drivers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do not take this nomination as a personal insult. I am actually extremely impressed with your work and your broad racing knowledge, which is as diverse as my own. I feel that a category is a better way to deal with it, as I have indicated in the deletion discussion. Having a category will allow any notable driver from any series to be added, which I believe is the best result. Royalbroil 02:12, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
I am quite satified with the compromise about expanding the scope as Racing in Illinois. I should write an article about Racing in Wisconsin. Would you permit the List of illinois race car drivers article to be speedy deleted since it's no longer needed? If so, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the article and it will be deleted. I got your email. Email isn't a very effective way to contact me. I'm not clear about which pictures you want deleted. Would you like all 3 of these images speedy deleted? They will get deleted in less than a week if you don't do anything. Royalbroil 20:04, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I received your reply on my talk page, so I deleted these 3 images. You asked about your user page. I think that most Wikipedians would consider it to be too elaborate. It's okay to mention some of the things that you did/experiences, but you put down a lot. I think it would be cool to see on a website or a blog. I do find it interesting.
