[edit] Jewish WIKIVERSITY

NEW: On Wikiversity there is now a "Jewish Studies School." Will it become a "duplication" of many things on Wikipedia? What should it's goals and functions be? Please add your learned views. Thank you. IZAK 09:11, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List

Is there any particular basis for the list here? There are quite significant programs at (for example) Brown University and the University of Washington. Offhand, the list looks quite arbitrary, and in many cases seems simply to quote the universities' own hype about their programs. - Jmabel | Talk 17:08, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Senseless article

This article does not cover the history and development of Jewish studies - which are not identical to the traditional practice of תלמוד תורה. I don't see why it even exists. I will delete it if everyone agrees.--192.114.91.226 13:20, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Say that again?....

"For the minority of Jews who are religious"..... So only the really, really, really, really religious Jews - and the small minority of them - would be interested in those opportunities.

All other Jews aren't religious, like ...."the majority of Jewish students attending regular academic colleges and universities there is a growing choice of Jewish studies courses and even degrees available at many institutions" wouldn't be? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.208.253.247 (talk) 03:11, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] External Link Salon Jewish Studies

hi there,

Although I do something like advertisement on Salon Jewish Studies, I think everybody who visit the article and would follow the link http://international-js.blogspot.com will get an idea of what Jewish Studies covers. We list Finding Aids for Sources of Jewish History and Culture, Digitized Resources, Archives and Libraries with Judaica-Collections and Research Institutes...

I hope sometimes the Link will find the way to external link section

cheers
