The uploader believes that the use of this image on the English-language Wikipedia constitutes "fair use" for the following reasons: (1) Per our policy (Wikipedia:Logos), a free alternative is unavailable because logos are protected by copyright. (2) The image will be used for educational purposes, to illustrate 2006 Seattle Jewish Federation shooting and other relevant articles in an encyclopedia. (3) The logo is taken unmodified from an official press release, it is presented on wikipedia exactly as it is presented on Federation materials and is not distorted or corrupted in any way. The file is stored as a PNG in order to avoid data loss as per Wikipedia:Logos. (4) Although large enough for use on official Federation press materials, the image is not so large that it violates the "fair use" doctrine. GabrielF 15:12, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
