Jeti is a cross-platform IM client that can be run in a web browser without installation. It uses the Java programming language[1] and the Jabber IM protocol [2]. It is open-source software. Jeti is currently available in nine languages[1].
Jeti won OS/2 World's Best JAVA Application of the Year award for 2005[3].
[edit] Uses
Many public computers (libraries, schools, internet cafés) do not have Jabber clients installed, but almost all have browsers. Jabber users who cannot install client software, but have internet access, can use Jeti.
