[edit] Nice Job
My Dad saved the Herald article for me, and I saw it over Easter weekend - nice job, and nice photo! It was quite strange to see it all in print and it will be interesting to look for increased movement on the ProjectVermont page as a possible result. It certainly made me log back in and look around for the first time in a while. Thanks. H0n0r 21:06, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE: ALA self-promotion
Perhaps you or someone else using an established userid who has an ALA affiliation can use the dispute resolution process to work this out? Davidwr 15:27, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Burke
The Burke material looks to be stuff from a brand new user. It may be from out-of-copyright material anyway, despite my breast-beating on the Burke discussion. It would be nice to shepherd this new user through his/her changes. Could be a useful contributor to NEK stuff. I don't know about all that voting business in the beginning. Where DID that come from??? I HOPE it's a child. If an adult, brrrrr... :) Student7 12:10, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry it took so long. My old account was GDS918 and I lost my password. Actually, that was not a census for 2005, it was an estimate given by the US Census Bureau in 2006. But somehow I find it unlikely that Guilford lost people, more likely that it gained people. That's all. Take care!
[edit] RE:thanks for making the Vermont town pages pretty
Thanks for the unexpected surprise! I love to pretty-fy articles with images :-) Happy editing! --Agüeybaná 21:10, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Shire town/county seat
You say that shire towns in Vermont have signs saying both "shire town" and "county seat". Would you be willing to take a picture of such a sign and upload it to Commons? It would be helpful on the county seat page. Nyttend 02:12, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your query
I've replied on my talk page.
I'm apologetic that I can't say more, and hope you'll understand. For what its worth, it was rechecked and agreed.
Best,

[edit] Susan Wiley
If you wouldn't mind please revisiting the Genie (the feral child) article, now that I've included full transcriptions on my own article at countyhistorian for five of the articles that appeared at the time of her parents arrest. All five articles state her name and none of them make any insinuation that any part of the story is private.Wjhonson (talk) 07:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Did you read the newspaper transcripts which I provided? Can you point out some policy where once information has been widely distributed we should then suppress it? As you can see the internet is highly geared toward modern individuals. People of historical note (before about 1990) are skewed toward modern works, not historical ones. I provided the exact citations to the newspaper articles which named her as Susan Wiley without any indication than that her name was private in any way. Can you address that point? Thanks.
