Agreed. If you look at photos of the desks United States senate, or at the on-screen text showing a senator's name when one is speaking on TV, it says "Sen. John Doe" -- the same is done for members of the House of Representatives ("Rep. John Doe"). Or look at it conversely: have you ever seen "Dem. John Doe"? No. If/when their party and/or state affiliation is shown, it is in this format: "Rep. John Doe - (D) NC" (if John Doe were a Democratic-party representative from the state of North Carolina). It would be interesting to see whether Jessica's political party affiliation was ever mentioned in any episode. Would make a great addition to this article.
