He is a separate person ? Shouldn't he have his own entry as one of the key figures in this case ? I would like more information on this witness . --190.0.86.81 15:58, 14 May 2007 (UTC)


On Wednesday, March 22, 2006 Jesse Rugge's parole petition was denied. He was not a witness but member of the Jesse James Hollywood's crew. He was sentence to 25 years to life. 6/9/08

I think a little more clarity would be useful here about who "he" refers to. I'm assuming that the first sentence refers to Nicholas, but could do with a pointer from someone who knows. Robotmannick 07:08, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

There is a dicrepancy involving the debt owed, it ranges from $1500.00(US) to many thousands more. The "He" that was shot (9 times with a semi-auto)was Nicholas Markowitz the younger step brother of Benjamin Markowitz. Benjamin had a drug debt with Jesse James Hollywood.

Nicholas was shot and killed by a group of men working for Hollywood.

I'm a little confused by this section. Based on the dates given, Nicholas was killed two days after he was kidnapped. Yet the article says he spent "several days ... partying with his captors." How could he have spent "several days" doing anything if he was essentially their captive for only three days and two nights?

The date has been changed to August 9th based on the FBI Press Release of Jesse James Hollywood's capture.

My bet is that someone working for the studios wrote that lame description of Jesse James Hollywood, to make the story seem more true than fabricated.

This is not fake, and his name really if Jesse James Hollywood - i live in goleta and it happened in the mountins which is like a 20 minute drive from the lemon tree in which is located in santa barbara where Nicholas Markowitz spent his last hours. Everyone should see the movie its supposed to be held very true to the facts since the Santa Barbara Jusge who presided over the trials of the others that were involved handed over all trnascripts incuding confidential material to the dirctor/writer of the movie (alpha dog). if anyone does a little research it will clearly show that these people actually do exist and this actually did happen.

jesse james hollywood is in fact a serial killer awaiting trial in california, this is no fake, benjamin markowits was a citizen of Simi Valley,ca.

I know this is true b-cuz i knew ben, jesse james was a name he bought himself after he became wealthy, his birth name is not known to me.

Jesse JAmes HOllywoods associates still control much of the drug traffic wihtin Ventura County.

THIS IS NOT FAKE and it would be a GREAT INJUSTICE TO the MArkowitz Familt to pulls this article.

jesse james hollywood would not be classified as a serial killer (he himself did not kill anyone, one could only be a serial killer by definition if one were to murder three or more persons one by one in a series of incidents). moving on, his real name is Jesse James Hollywood as the above person has mention it is public information and fairly easy to find. Now majority of his drug activites took place in San Fernando Valley which is located in Los Angeles county - not in Ventura County. ----User: Blackstarz26 17:58, 15 January 2007

It seems that this article presumes the guilt of Hollywood in spite of the fact that his trial has not yet begun. Is it not necessary to write that the 'facts' in this article are disputed by Hollywood? Alleged is a difficult word in this instance. There are court cases and people in jail and solid proof that the Markowitz kid was kidnapped, that the older Markowitz was a drug dealer, etc. The only "alleged" thing in this situation is that Hollywood allegedly ordered the murder. There is NO DOUBT in any case that the group kidnapped the kid, one could say that Hollywood was allegedly involved in the kidnapping, but the kid was not allegedly kidnapped. One might say that Markowitz allegedly owed money to Hollywood, but not that Markowitz was an alleged drug dealer as it has been proven that he is. One might say that Hollywood allegedly sold drugs to Markowitz, but not that Hollywood was a drug dealer...because it has been proven that he was. One does not committ an error by saying that "the group kidnapped Markowitz." It is an error to say that the group "allegedly kidnapped Markowitz" as that gives the presumption of innocense to the entire group, rather than just Hollywood. It would be more appropriate to say that the group kidnapped Markowitz and Hollywood was allegedly with them. Is anyone heading the article cleanup. I am noticing a lot of "facts" that are not based on references such as "Markowitz also had threatened to reveal a $36,000 insurance scam involving Hollywood, who had sold a sport car for parts and then reported it stolen in an attempt to obtain insurance benefits." Markowitz had alerted authorities and there is no reference. This guy could not have been arrested in Brazil but had to be in Paraguay just as the film stated because Brazil has a law that anyone in Brazil cannot be arrested and extradited while in Brazil for crimes they commited in another country.

Brazil deported him because of a crime committed in Brazil. He was living in brazil under false documents

I can't find any supporting sources currently but at the time of his capture there was a story that he had a pregnant Brazillian girlfriend. Can anyone find a source on this? Chops79 14:13, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
