Jessica Heslam

Jessica Heslam, born March 26, 1972, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is currently the media reporter for the Boston Herald. Hired by the Boston tabloid in 2000 from the Patriot Ledger in Quincy, Massachusetts, she has covered many national news stories, including the September 11 terror attacks, The Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island, the 2000 Wakefield massacre at Edgewater Technology, the Christa Worthington murder on Cape Cod, the December 2006 killing spree at the Foxy Lady nightclub in New Bedford, Massachusetts and the Virginia Tech massacre.

She now covers the media for the Herald and writes the MediaBiz column, as well as the popular "Messenger" blog. She is married to Herald political/investigative reporter Dave Wedge.
