Jesse A. Fernández

Jesse A. Fernández (December 1925–1986) was born in Havana, Cuba. He died in Paris, France in 1986. He developed different art forms like photography, sculpture, drawing and painting. He has a career as a photographer in different publications and projects. He worked like photojournalist in Photo projects in Central and South America between 1955-1959; like an Art Director of Visión, in New York, U.S.A and like a photographer of Revolución newspaper, Havana, Cuba in 1960.

He did many exhibitions of his work, among them we can quote Jesse Fernández D’Arcy Gallery, New York, U.S.A. in 1961; Jesse Fernández. Dibujos, Museum of the University of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico in 1972 and Cajas. Jesse Fernández,Galería Ynguazo, Madrid, Spain in 1976.

During his life he has obtained recognitions like the Cintas Foundation Fellowship (painting), New York, U.S.A. at 1967/1975.
