I am a biologist and writer, currently working as Assistant to the Director General at Bioversity International (formerly the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute). However, while I may learn all kinds of interesting things as a result of my job, nothing I say here should be interpreted as an official point of view.

I have been interested in Wikis and blogs for a long time, but have only just decided to see whether I can make any contribution to the Wikipedia.

I run a couple of blogs, which are easily found by Googling.
