Gerald "Jerry" Eugene-Harold Trainor (born January 21, 1977), is an American television and movie actor. He was born and raised in San Diego, California, and graduated from the University of San Diego High School in 1995. Trainor was active in the school's drama program. He currently plays the role of Spencer Shay, Carly's older brother, in the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly. His other television credits include, Gilmore Girls, Law & Order, Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, Drake & Josh with Miranda Cosgrove, and Malcolm in the Middle.
