Jennifer Westfeldt (born February 2, 1970) is an American actress and screenwriter. She is known for co-writing (with Heather Juergensen) and starring in the hit independent film Kissing Jessica Stein. She starred in the 2004 Broadway revival of Wonderful Town. She continues to write scripts and star in television series and films. Westfeldt can be seen on the ABC-TV show Notes from the Underbelly. She dates Jon Hamm from Mad Men on AMC.
Westfeldt was born in Connecticut and educated at Yale. While at Yale, Jennifer sang with the Yale a cappella group Redhot & Blue. She is on a noted list of Swedish peerage because her father is descended from Swedish nobility;[citation needed] her mother is Jewish and Westfeldt was raised in the Jewish religion.[1]
She starred opposite Paul Schneider in How to Lose Your Lover in 2004. She also wrote and stars in Ira and Abby, a romantic comedy which entered limited release in the US on 14 September 2007. The film was first presented at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2006.[2]
