Jennifer Lee "Jen" Taylor (born on February 17, 1973 in Seattle, Washington) is a voice actress best known for her role as Cortana in the ground-breaking XBOX game, Halo. She has also voice-acted in a number of Nintendo games as: Dixie Kong, Tiny Kong, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Birdo and other characters in several Nintendo games from 1999 to 2005, as well as Cate Archer in No One Lives Forever 2 and Jessica Cannon in the episodic FPS SiN Episodes. In 2004 she also appeared in the feature film Inheritance and in the Backyard Sports series. She is also the voice talent for the character Chloe in the Hoyle Board and Card games series. Jen Taylor, unlike her Halo series co-star Steve Downes has only done one convention in the past six years, her next one to be Anime Festival Wichita, in Wichita,Kansas.
In the Seattle theater community, she is an accomplished stage actress. During 2007 she performed in starring roles in both the Book-It Repertory Theatre adaptation of The House of Mirth, and the Seattle Children's Theatre production of Afternoon of the Elves.
