Jen Lancaster

Jen Lancaster is an author of three published books: Bitter is the New Black and Bright Lights, Big Ass. Her third book, Such A Pretty Fat was released May 6, 2008.

Jen Lancaster was an associate vice president for a technology company prior to being laid off after 9/11^[1]. Being laid off, and her adaption thereto, became the subject matter for her blog and, later, her books.

Although sometimes described as "chick lit", Jen Lancaster's writing has more in common with that of Karyn Bosnak, who also writes about her experiences after losing her job.
