Jerry "Jem" Wee (born June 1, 1978) is the resident vainpot of the Singapore Christian Canaan Church (commonly known as Canaan Church). Jerry goes by the allonym "Jem" on the Internet and is known for his whackiness and random statements, often repetitively pointed out by the church youths.

Jerry is a christian, baptized on May 30, 2004. Prior to his baptism he was discipled by Singapore Christian Canaan Church's resident pastor, Ps. Richard Wong, and subsequently accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Since then he has been actively serving in Singapore Christian Canaan Church as a musician.
[edit] Music ministry
Jerry plays the bass and keyboards in Singapore Christian Canaan Church for the music ministry.
He first started attending the music ministry rehearsals on Thursday nights observing everything the team does. Shortly he was invited to join the ministry as a stand-in bassist. Gradually he became the resident bassist because the previous guy had a very busy schedule and just could not cope.
The church now has the adult worship team (consists of mainly adult musicians) and the youth band (consists of mainly youth musicians, except for the bassist). Jerry now plays for the youth band as the bassist and sometimes on the keys.

The vanity bug first bit Jerry in the late 2003 when he bleached and dyed his hair snowy white. The white color matched the festivities as Christmas was around the corner.
In the following months in early 2004 he bleached and dyed his hair once more to red for the festive Lunar New Year.
He had to dye his hair black so that he could begin working full-time with HP and for awhile his hair was natural black.
Near the end of 2004 he could not resist the vanity bug and went to bleach and dye his fringe blue. It was a divine moment because the cellgroup wanted to do a video presentation for Singapore Christian Canaan Church during Christmas and needed a delinquent.
Early 2005 he bleached the blue away and dyed it pink. When asked, he often say that it was the color that he wanted all the time.
In mid 2006 he went to have his left ear pierced. During the same period he rebonded his hair just to see how he would look. Shortly after the rebond he went a step further and outfitted his teeth with braces. To date he loves the straight hair and earring but loathes the aching sensation in his mouth.
