[edit] MDRD participants list edits

I've started a discussion on WT:USRD#Universal participants?. You are free to comment on the merging of all USRD subprojects' participant lists. —O () 20:42, 21 September 2007 (GMT)

[edit] USRD Inactivity check and news report

Hello, Jeff02. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:

  1. Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
  2. There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

[edit] Bot check

Have we done something to upset our bot? It hasn't done an update since October 14, 2007. Marylandstater 13:02, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Also, in your opinion, how many of the people on the participants lists are currently editing, or what percentage of those on the list are inactive as related to the Maryland Project? Marylandstater 13:05, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Still no bot update. I would love to see what impact my assessments and additions have had on the overall numbers. 67knight 19:57, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Notice to all members of WikiProject Maryland

I'd recommend keeping people on the list and creating two sections named "Active" and "Inactive" rather than just removing people. My 2c. --Tom (talk - email) 13:47, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MDSH WP template

These templates are being deprecated to simplify the coding. Please do not revert my changes to carry this out. --Rschen7754 (T C) 02:28, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

When a parameter needs to be added to the main template, it makes it easier for us to add it to all of them. Furthermore, it helps us when we are assessing articles to not have to remember what the special template name for each SH WP is. --Rschen7754 (T C) 02:42, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your essay

While you are perfectly within your rights to post that, I wish you wouldn't, as it is a distortion of the truth.

  • You leave out the point that all SH WP participants are more than welcome to participate in all USRD discussions. However, you yourself have not bothered to do so, which would indicate why you are surprised at consensus discussions from USRD.
  • USRD has not been used to bully NE2.
  • You fail to examine the reasons for a combined participants list - it makes it easier for USRD to tell who is active and who is not and to add people to the newsletter list; also, it reinforces the idea that all SH WP members are part of USRD and can contribute to discussions.
  • You say that things will be better if the subprojects can run themselves. The problem is, then we get the original WP:LASH.

You are omitting evidence that could be used to undermine your argument. --Rschen7754 (T C) 07:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Manifesto

After some thought over my wikibreak, I came up with some ideas and was wondering what you thought of them: User:Rschen7754/Manifesto. --Rschen7754 (T C) 01:42, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] St. Barnabas Church, Upper Marlboro, Maryland peer review

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the St. Barnabas Church, Upper Marlboro, Maryland and give us an honest peer review. The page has evolved quite a bit in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor on subjects in the area like yourself, could head over and give us at Wikipedia:WikiProject Maryland some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. Several of us have worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. If you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! [edit] MD state shields

I thought MD no longer uses specific shields on interstates per sign drawing. There may still have alot of recent shields post later than December 2004 thats because the DOT uses the prior version. Minnesota also uses neutral shields in state doc, but current desktop to me quite displays normal state shields after July 2005. Anyways, why we need to use MD state shelds in article body?--Freewayguy (Meet) 20:54, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Can you please answer? Why it is okay to use MD specific state shield in article body but not routebox or 25x20px icons?--Freewayguy (Meet) 01:23, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Making shields myself

I still don't know how to make sheidls myself on common, I try few times to upload Image:I-215 (NV).svg, becasue just for my own personal interest, I still couldnt do it. I wonder how is everybody able to do it. I think if you just upload this image and walk me step-by-step; I might learn how to do it.--Freewayguy (talk) 22:57, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Where is inkspace website, do you mean I actually have to draw it, then what website I draw it on?--Freewayguy (talk) 01:41, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Tag for WP:Maryland

I have recently started the article for Annie Armstrong, a life-long resident of Baltimore. I don't know if the article falls under the scope of the Maryland Wikiproject, but I'm drawing your attention to it.
