Dr. Jeff Stringer is an American obstetrician/gynecologist who has lived in Zambia since 2001. He directs the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), a Zambian non-profit affiliated with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. CIDRZ conducts HIV clinical trials and assists the Zambian government in rolling out antiretroviral therapy and prevention of mother-to-child HIV programs throughout the country.
